An academician, Prof. Munirdeen Ijaiya of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, University of Ilorin (UNILORIN), said he has invented a surgical procedure for the treatment of Vesico Vaginal Fistula (VVF).

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that VVF is an abnormal fistulous tract extending between the bladder (vesica) and the vagina, that leads to continuous involuntary discharge of urine into the vaginal vault.
