Chief Chekwas Okorie, the National Chairman of UPP. and Chief Ifeatu Obi-Okoye, National Publicity Secretary of APGA, expressed the satisfaction in separate interviews with the News Agency of Nigeria in Awka on Friday.
“The goal of my administration, if elected as governor of this state, will be to make Anambra a destination of choice for the youths by promoting sports and recreational activities,’’ Chidoka stated in his manifesto made available to newsmen in Awka on Friday.
Okorie, who made the assertion in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Awka on Wednesday, said those in the vanguard of the anarchic campaign were misguided and did not know its implications.
Offodile, who withdrew from the party’s primaries on August 19, announced his resignation at a news conference in Awka on Monday.
Chidoka beat his opponent, Chief Chudi Offodile, in the primary held in Awka on Saturday
The party also reversed the suspension on all those that were affected by the suspension announced on August 15.
Chidoka stated this on Thursday in a thank you message to his supporters who accompanied him to pick his nomination form at the National Secretariat of the United Progressive Party on Monday
