The organization said in a statement on Friday that it is even more worrisome that the Department of State Services (DSS) has admitted that its operatives “raided” Igboho’s residence and “gunned down” two persons “while the rest were subdued and arrested.”
In a statement issued by its spokesperson, Professor Lere Amusan, on Friday, the group said with the Directorate of State Services confirming it organised the attack under the guise of seeking stockpiled arms, it may not be out of order to conclude that, considering the desperation with which the attack was staged, Sunday Igboho could as well have been killed if found during the operation.
The spokesman of the Service, Dr. Peter Afunanya, made this known on Thursday when he paraded those arrested and items recovered
