Governor Hyacinth Alia of Benue has sworn in 17 Commissioners and 23 Special Advisers, charging them to sustain the positive leadership qualities that qualified them for their positions.

Ekiti State Governor, Biodun Oyebanji, Tuesday inaugurated a new set of Commissioners and Special Advisers to have a full complement of members of the state executive council .
This is sequel to the successful screening and confirmation of the 21 names of commissioners-designate forwarded to the state Assembly last month, as well as the Assembly’s approval for additional 10 Special Advisers for the Governor.
The Oyo State governor, Seyi Makinde, has approved the reappointments of retired Commissioner of Police, Fatai Owoseni; and former Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress, Oyo State chapter, Comrade Bayo Titilola-Sodo, as Special Advisers on Security and Labour Matters respectively.
Performing the swearing in ceremony at the Conference Hall of the Governor’s Office, Ado-Ekiti, Fayemi, who also swore in the Chairman of the State Universal Basic Education Board and a member of the Local Government Service Commission, urged the new appointees to see their new public service roles as an opportunity to serve and not an avenue to enrich themselves.
The letter for the approval of 15 Special Advisers was read on the floor by Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, on Thursday.
The governor, said while swearing in the SAs at the Government House, Asaba, that the choice of seasoned persons was born from the exigency needed to build a stronger economy for the state.
The Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi, has told the newly sworn in Commissioners and Special Advisers to perform or be prepared to resign their appointments for non-performance.
In the bid to further position the administration for effective service delivery, the Ekiti State Governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi has approved the appointment of five additional Special Advisers.
The swearing in took place on Thursday in Makurdi.
According to a statement by the Secretary to the Kwara State Government, Alhaji Sola Isiaka Gold, and released in Ilorin, the state capital, on Sunday, Alhaji Sulyman Toyin Olokooba is the Special Adviser, Political Matters, while Hon. Bello Tunde Emmanuel takes charge of Budget Monitoring.
Tambuwal’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Affairs, Malam Imam Imam, made the disclosure to newsmen on Wednesday in Sokoto.
