He spoke on the sideline of his proposed Bill for an Act to Amend the National Health Act to regulate /Prohibit International Medical Trip by Public Servants and For Related Matters.
Sponsor of the bill, Hon. Sergius Ogun while leading the debate, said the amendment seeks to curb the huge foreign exchange loss to medical tourism.
The lawmaker, who represents Esan North-East and Esan South-East Federal Constituency of Edo State, claimed that the two items failed earlier because the South-South lawmakers did not do their homework very well.
