Speaking through the Deputy Governor, Dr. Kadri Obafemi Hamzat, at a Memorable Evening of Worship and Tribute in celebration of the life of the late Senator, held at the Haven, GRA Ikeja, the Governor said the nation has lost one of the leading lights in the struggle against military dictatorship in the country.

He also commiserated with the government and people of Ogun State, as well as friends and political associates on the loss of the man he calls, “a dogged fighter for democracy, an activist, a nationalist and an indispensable member of the financial community.”
Governor Sanwo-Olu described Senator Durojaiye, as a passionate leader who served his country meritoriously as a public servant, human rights activist, politician and seasoned administrator.
The late Senator Durojaiye was born in 1933.
