Browsing: Senator Dino Melaye

While handing over the letter of petition to the Director of Public Affairs of the Agency, Osita Nwaja, at its Headquarters on Friday in Abuja, Melaye stressed that it was the desire of the anti-corruption group to ensure ‎that economic and financial crimes are duly investigated send prosecuted.

He stated that while the territory’s 2015 budget had only 61 per cent budget performance, the committee had projected a minimum of 85 per cent to 90 per cent budget performance in 2016

The statement, signed by CoWAA’s Executive Vice President, Jummai Samuel, lambasted Melaye and said his position is suggestive of medieval men who lack respect for the women in their lives and women all over the world

In a statement in Ado-Ekiti, Bakare criticised the senator for what she described as a show of shame, stressing that “Melaye’s motor park act” had given the senator away as a man lacking respect for family value and “unrepentant terror” to filial integrity in the world where women offered support for a strong family as a foundation for the health of the larger society

According to the Committee, the public hearing was in the exercise of its oversight and other functions, especially in response to insinuations of illegality and lack of equity in the establishment of the Centenary City Project

The Amendment, which was sponsored by Senator Dino Melaye, was titled: “A bill for an Act to Amend the National Lottery 2005 to make provision for effective operation of Lottery in Nigeria and for other related matters.”

‎Melaye said: “My brother and friend Sen. Bukola Saraki, if you have 1 trillion supporters, I’m one. If you have one billion, I’m one. If you have one million, I’m one. If you have one thousand, I’m one. If you have ten, I’m one. If you have only one supporter, I’m one. And if you have no single supporter, it means I’m dead. No shaking. Four years too sure.”
