Ndume made the appeal in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Sunday in Maiduguri.
Ndume returned to the Senate in November after his suspension
This followed the adoption of a motion on: “The Worrisome State of Security in Adamawa, Borno and Yobe States,” sponsored by Senator Mohammed Ndume during plenary
This is coming after the expiration of his six months suspension
This was even as the Senate vowed to proceed with the appeal against the court judgement nullifying Senator Ndume’s suspension
Among the grounds are that the Plaintiff wrongly joined several causes of action in his Originating Summons; that an action for the enforcement of fundamental rights to fair hearing can only be brought against a court or a tribunal, established by law as held by the Supreme Court in several current cases, and not against Committee of a legislative body; and that by the provisions of sections 3 and 30 of the Legislative Houses (Powers and Privileges) Act, the trial court lacked requisite jurisdiction to hear the suit of the Plaintiff.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the Senate on March 29, suspended Ndume, its former leader, who had asked for investigation of allegations of impropriety in importation of a bullet proof vehicle against Senator Bukola Saraki and perjury against Dino Melaye.
Quadri said: “The suspension of the plaintiff (Ndume) is hereby declared illegal, unlawful and unconstitutional. The purported suspension contained in the letter of March 30 is hereby set aside.

The House on Thursday alleged that the senator slapped its member at a political meeting
The Senate had in March suspended Senator Ndume as recommended by Senate committee on Ethics, Privileges and Public Petitions.
According to the group, some statements recently attributed to Senator Ali Ndume, Senator Abubakar Kyari and other northern leaders were capable of escalating terrorism in the north eastern part of Nigeria
Ndume, currently serving a six-month suspension, told newsmen in Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, that he would have invited security chiefs to explain what was happening, if he was in the Senate Chambers
The four count terrorism charge was preferred against him in November 2011
The Federal Government arraigned Ndume in 2011 and re-arraigned him in 2013 on a four-count charge of allegedly sponsoring the Boko Haram sect
