It was gathered from impeccable sources that the EFCC’s invitation to Dasuki has to do with the controversial arms acquisition by the Office of the National Security Adviser during the regime of former President Goodluck Jonathan.
One of the sources said Dasuki got the invitation to appear before the anti-graft agency on Friday

Information available to The Eagle Online has it that as at 7pm on Friday, the operatives of the DSS were still at the residence in Abuja

Justice Adeniyi Ademola, who gave the November 3 order that was flouted by the DSS, said on Friday: “I have made an order which has to be obeyed and the order is to the effect that the accused be allowed to go abroad as from November 4 to treat his ailment within three weeks and return to the court on November 26 for his trial in the charges brought against him

However, as a minister in the temple of justice, it is imperative to state that flagrant violation of constitutional provisions which is the substratum of any egalitarian society poses the greatest challenge to the anti-insecurity and corruption wars

In a statement on Thursday, the DSS said the public should ignore the claim by Dasuki that he was being persecuted.
It said the invitation was not on the old case of arms running and money laundering for which he is standing trial before Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court in Abuja

Dasuki, who is standing trial for alleged possession of firearms and money laundering, had deposited the passport with the court registrar as part of conditions for his bail

However, after the order by Justice Adeniyi Ademola, Dasuki needed a surety to vouch for his promise to return to the country to continue with his trial on allegations of gun running and illegal possession of firearms.
