While insisting that the police has the responsibility to protect citizens, Abubakar, however, promised that after thorough investigation, any policeman or officer that is found wanting in the crisis will be sanctioned accordingly
According to available information, policemen were alleged to have also joined in the attack on the Government House
“I want to add that I have explained things to the IG (Inspector-General of Police) and IG has directed that I should ban further public peaceful protests or processions and anybody who wants to do that should apply
