A statement from the office of the state Chairman of the PDP, Bro Felix Obuah, and signed by his Special Adviser on Media, Jerry Needam, said no amount of propaganda employed by the All Progressives Congress can stand and or rewrite the overwhelming statement of the election of the governor-elect, Barrister Nyesom Wike, his deputy and all the victorious PDP House of Assembly candidates by the Rivers State people in the April 11 elections adjudged by even independent observers as very fair and credible

The statement said: “Let us call a spade a spade: What is happening in Rivers State is not normal. What is normal in five members of a 32-strong house seeking to remove the Speaker supported by the remaining members? What is normal in the Police Commissioner of a state labelling the state’s Governor a dictator and supporting renegade lawmakers to stir trouble? What is normal in hired thugs stoning visiting Governors from another part of the country?

The party wondered why the Rivers State Police Commissioner, Mbu Joseph Mbu, who provided cover for the five renegade lawmakers to attack the House while failing to provide security for
the House to sit, and the leader of the renegade lawmakers, Evans Bipi, who allegedly started the crisis in the House by punching Lloyd and the Speaker of the House on the face, were not invited along with the others
