Okanlawon Sanni, the Chairman, Committee on Commerce and Industry, made the call during an inspection of the Agro-Industrial Park Project at Imota, Ikorodu, Lagos State.

The State Acting Commissioner for Agriculture, Abisola Olusanya, gave out the empowerment tools on Tuesday at the beginning of a three-day capacity building and training of the rice farmers on current production practices in the rice value chain.
It said Dangote Group is also finalising plans to locate a $5 million mill within the same location.
Emmanuel while inaugurating the factory on Saturday said that it was the first rice mill in the state.
Apart from ensuring availability of rice in the market, the mill, which is of 32 metric tons per hour production capacity, is projected to facilitate the creation of over 200,000 jobs across the agricultural value chain, while it will also bring about the cultivation of 32,000 hectares of farm land to produce rice paddy, equating to an estimated 130 million kg of processed rice per year (an equivalent of 2.6 million 50kg bags of rice).
