The Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria on Saturday decried the proposed merger of three agencies in the petroleum industry.
The PTDF disclosed this in a statement issued in Abuja, on Tuesday after the graduation ceremony of the second batch of PTDF-trained welders on Post Training Attachment Programme.
He said: “Unfortunately, I have gone through all the four bills of the petroleum industry waiting to become law; I have seen fiscal and regulatory provision about the mid-stream and the downstream.
We will like to state clearly our displeasure to how we have been neglected by PTDF management
The Finance Ministry stated that staff of the Office of the Accountant General of the Federation have critically reviewed the accounting statements of these agencies, which include the Central Bank of Nigeria, Petroleum Technology Development Fund, National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, Nigerian Television Authority and the Securities and Exchange Commission, among others.
Aminu said the building of the NIPPS facility was a remarkable achievement of PTDF, adding that the oil and gas industry would be proud to celebrate the training facility
It quoted Galadima as saying that the fund needed to streamline its activities by identifying and focusing on key areas of priority that were within its mandate and financial capacity
As part of plans to improve the lives of Nigerian youths, the Governor of Niger state, Dr. Mu’azu Babangida Aliyu has called on the Federal Government to as a matter of urgency change the school curriculum and education policies if youth in the country must be productive.
