Egbewole, in a statement signed by the Unilorin’s Director of Corporate Affairs, Kunle Akogun, described the appointment as “well deserved”.
He disclosed this at a weeklong combined 37th and 38th (2021/2022) convocation ceremony of the institution.
Egbewole made this known Wednesday while receiving a delegation of the Kwara Chapter of the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations (NIPR), led by a newly elected Council member, Dr Saudat Abdulbaqi.
Egbewole stated this on Monday during an interview with newsmen in Ilorin to spotlight his first anniversary in office.
Kunle Akogun, the school’s Director of Corporate Affairs, made this known in a statement he issued on Wednesday.
Egbewole said this Monday when he received members of the National Forum of Heads of Government Establishments in Nigeria, who were in his office to congratulate him on his emergence as the 11th Vice Chancellor of Unilorin.
Egbewole in a statement issued Tuesday by Kunle Akogun, UNILORIN Director of Corporate Affairs, said the appointment was not only a recognition of the professional, intellectual and administrative prowess of Gobir.
Egbewole gave the advice Tuesday, at the Orientation Programme for the school’s 2022/2023 Intake, held in Ilorin, the State capital.
Egbewole made the appeal Tuesday in Ilorin, Kwara State capital, while declaring open an international conference, entitled: “DigitAll: Innovation and Technology For Gender Equality”.
Egbewole, who led other principal officers on a campus-wide tour to assess the level of damage done by the rain, told newsmen that he was saddened by the incident.
Oloyede made the call at the official presentation of a book, entitled: “Efficiency in Jurisprudence and Constitutional Development in Africa,” on Monday in Ilorin.
Speaking on the development, the institution’s Vice Chancellor, Prof. Wahab Egbewole, commended the Chairman of the group, Dr Adeola Badru, for keeping to his promise to remodel the University Gate, as work commenced.

Egbewole made the call Monday during the official presentation of a student-athlete of the institution, Rofiat Abdulazeez, who won a new car at the Kwara State End-of-the-Year Merit Awards Ceremony.
Egbewole, who is also the Chairman of the Investment Committee of the institution, stated this when he led members of the committee on a two-day campus-wide visit to investment facilities in the University.
Egbewole spoke on Thursday at the 2nd Anniversary Public Lecture series of the Faculty of Law of Al-Hikma University, Ilorin, where he delivered the lecture, titled: “Sustaining The Nigerian Project; Cross Current of Law, Justice,Politics and Religion Revisited.”
