The state-of-the-art ICT tools, comprising 40 units of HP EliteOne All-in-One desktop G5 with Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM, 1TB HDD and 10 units of HP EliteBook 830G6 laptops with Intel Core i7, 16GB RAM and 500GB SSD, were handed over to the Agency by the Executive Vice Chairman of NCC, Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, at the NFIU head office in Abuja.

The constitution of the committee was sequel to the requirements of the new Nigerian National Broadband Plan (NNBP 2020-2025) and reports of relevant committees set up by the Federal Executive Council, which include the Inter-Ministerial Review Committee on Multiple Taxation on Telecommunications Operators over Right-of-Way and the Technical Sub-Committee on Right-of-Way for Deepening Broadband Penetration in Nigeria.

Speaking at ATCON’s virtual forum on: “Meeting the Interests of Government, Consumers and Telecoms Companies in the Era of Covid-19 and Post Covid-19 Pandemic for Digital Economy Development,” Danbatta noted that the Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Dr. Ali Isa Ibrahim Pantami, had already been briefed on the development with a view to ensuring a quick settlement of the debt
