The INEC card reader had rejected Eleka’s Permanent Voter Card and his wife’s twice

Fayose had said the alleged move by the Federal Government was to incapacitate Ekiti State to pay workers salary to enable the All Progressives Congress use non-payment of salary as a campaign tool against the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Prof. Olusola Eleka, in the July 14 governorship election.
Supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party on Wednesday in Oye Ekiti, headquarters of Oye Local Government Area, descended on a huge campaign billboard of Fayemi at St Augustine Secondary School and destroyed it, while being cheered by other members of the party.
The latest uprising against the move, which has been roundly condemned by quite a number of the stakeholders in Ekiti State chapter of the PDP, was led by Prince Adedayo Adeyeye Movement.
According to a statement signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Modupe Alade, the government thanked Adeyeye for his contributions to the university and wished him well in his future endeavours
When contacted, Prince Adeyeye confirmed that he has resigned his position in the Ekiti State University and has communicated same to Fayose through the right channel
