Governor Fayemi stated this on Tuesday during the ground breaking ceremony for the construction of the elderly peoples’ resort in Ado-Ekiti.
The Chairman of the committee, Rep. Rotimi Agunsoye, made the clarification while reacting to media report claiming that he queried the presidential aide on SDG, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, during a budget defence session at the National Assembly.
The disclosure was made by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Sustainable Development Goals, Princess Adejoke Orelope-Adefulire, while playing host to the Governor of Gombe, Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya, in her office on Tuesday.
She said: “This retreat on the Implementation of the SDGs in Nigeria is therefore very timely as the forum also offers us a unique opportunity to examine what has worked and what has not worked well and proceed to develop common strategy for the domestication, mainstreaming and implementation of the SDGs into our National Planning process.”
