The Petroleum and Natural Gas Senior Staff Association of Nigeria has urged the Federal, state governments and the organised private sector to resolve the differences in the ongoing negotiation for a new national minimum wage.

The senior staff trade union also advised the political class not to allow the struggles of past heroes to be in vain by heating the polity.
Williams Akporeha, NUPENG President, gave the commendation while speaking with newsmen at the 107th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva on Thursday.

The senior staff trade union expressed its support to any other model to fund the budget aside from selling of the oil and gas assets, calling on the National Assembly to reject as it had done in the past because the plan is not in the national interest.
The workers, in a communique issued at the end of the National Executive Council meeting of PENGASSAN in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, said resolutions were taken on some issues of urgent concerns impacting on the oil and gas industry as well as the country
