Comrade Adams Oshiomhole was the common glue. A decorated unionist and two-term governor of Edo State, Oshiomhole once made trenches his home.
He, therefore, called on Edo State voters to reject Obaseki, who is the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party.
Odigie-Oyegun’s refusal to endorse Ize-Iyamu was contained in a statement he issued on Monday.
Ize-Iyamu, who was earlier presented with the flag for Edo State governorship election by President Muhammadu Buhari, was accompanied to the vice president’s office by Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State.
President Buhari received the governorship candidate at the State House alongside the Caretaker Committee Chairman of the APC and Governor of Yobe State, Mai Mala Buni; Chairman of Progressive Governors Forum and Governor of Kebbi State, Atiku Abubakar; and APC Campaign Chairman for Edo State election and Governor of Kano State, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje.
