In a statement signed by the Director of Bureau of Communication and Strategy, Office of the Governor, Semiu Okanlawon, Aregbesola said the death of the playwright, theatre director and teacher was a huge loss not to the creative world alone, but also to the world of Yoruba language and culture heritage which he promoted till his death.

In a statement issued in Abuja on Monday, the minister said Faleti was a trailblazer and a colossus across many genres, who left an indelible footprint in the Nigerian landscape.
Adeniyi, one of Faleti’s sons, said his father observed the early morning devotion with family members when he woke up and soon after told them that he prayed to God to send someone else to continue his mission as he was tired and longing for home.
