The governor made the donation at the first anniversary of the Oyo State Security Network Agency codenamed Amotekun Corps, and the commissioning of the Ultra-Modern state headquarters of the outfit.

The group equally implored federal security agencies to collaborate and support the local initiative, even as it lauded Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State for his efforts in securing the state, especially the important role he played in the setting up of Amotekun alongside other governors of the South West.
The Chairman of the Amotekun Corps, General Kunle Togun (retd), made this disclosure on FRESH 105.9 FM Political Circuit on Saturday.
The governor maintained that the safety and security of all residents of the state remains a top priority for his government, adding that his administration will work relentlessly to tackle cases of kidnapping and insecurity.
The governor also stated that the states of the South West are ready to combat crimes through the security agency, which was initially launched in January 2020 as a South West regional security outfit to combat crimes in collaboration with the police and other federal security agencies.
The Oyo State Security Network Agency and Amotekun Corps Bill on Thursday scaled through second reading on the floor of the state Assembly.
