The House presided over by the Speaker, Olagunju Ojo, made the plea while adopting the resolution in a matter of urgent public importance raised by Joshua Oyebamiji, the lawmaker representing Akinyele 1.

The commission announced this in a statement by its Director of Voter Education and Publicity, Oluwole Osaze-Uzzi, on Friday in Abuja.
Agboke said the by-election was necessitated by the demise of the former Speaker, Michael Adeyemo, representing the constituency in the state House of Assembly.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Ojo, who emerged the new Speaker, is representing Oriire State Constituency.
Ojo emerged the new speaker following his unopposed nomination by Joshua Oyebamiji and his being seconded by Gbenga Oyekola.
The governor also felicitated with the new speaker for being found worthy by his colleagues to occupy the exalted position.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports that Adeyemo, who represented Ibarapa East State Constituency on the All Progressives Congress platform, died suddenly of heart attack on Friday, aged 47.
He made the call during a condolence visit to Governor Abiola Ajimobi in his office on Wednesday in Ibadan.
