Ibrahim was pronounced winner of the Saturday election by the Independent National Electoral Commission on Sunday.

The former Deputy Governor performed the feat on Monday during the primaries of the PDP for the senatorial seat.

Tofowomo’s media aide, Olumide Akinrinlola, confirmed this to the News Agency of Nigeria on Friday in Okitipupa as bulldozers and workers started demolishing the burnt structures.

Tofowomo made the call at the end of a seven-day solar power empowerment programme, as one of his 2020 constituency projects, for more than 100 youth in Ondo South Senatorial District in Ile-Oluji on Sunday.

Coming under Order 42 and 52 of the Senate Rules, the lawmaker in a motion considered on the floor, informed his colleagues that Ayetoro, which was known as Ayetoro floating city in the 1970s, suffered a severe ocean current disaster, which depleted the community, destroyed 308 houses and rendered many homeless.

Speaking to newsmen during the sensitisation tour, Bamidele Oloyelogun, the Speaker of the Assembly, said that the residents needed to be reminded of their roles in making the state to remain peaceful before, during and after the election.

The Senator said this in a statement by his Media Aide, Olumide Akinrinlola, on Monday in Okitipupa.

Tofowomo, who made this known on Wednesday in Okitipupa, assured residents of the affected areas of uninterrupted power supply now that the bottleneck involved had been resolved.

Senator Nicholas Tofowomo, representing Ondo South Senatorial District, who was involved in an auto crash on September 5, is in good condition and responding to treatment in hospital, Olumide Akunrinlola, the Senator’s media aide, has said.
