Speaking in Lagos on Sunday at a briefing to unveil the programme for this year’s edition of the Olokun Festival, Adams, who is also the Chief Promoter of Olokun Festival Foundation, revealed that the annual fiesta has made significant impacts in boosting the economy of the ancient town and the entire state.
Speaking in Lagos during the Yoruba Quiz Competition organised as part of activities for the ongoing Olokun Festival, Aare Adams said the platform is designed to educate the pupils and guests for them to be proficient in Yoruba Language.

At the ceremony, which held inside the Palace of Oba Akran, the prominent monarch stated that the reason Otunba Adams was offered the chieftaincy was in recognition of his contributions to the promotion of the tourism sector in Badagry through Olokun Festival Foundation, which yearly organizes Olokun Festival that had been held in the last 15 years.
