The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Baba Ijesha is facing a six-count charge of alleged defilement of a minor.

A member of Baba Ijesha’s defence team, Mr Dada Awosika (SAN), made the assertion on Tuesday while cross-examining actress and comedienne, Ms Damilola Adekoya, alias Princess, the foster mother of the minor.
Mr Babatunde Ogala (SAN), the lead defence counsel, made the allegation on Tuesday during the trial of Baba Ijesha over six-counts of defilement at an Ikeja Special Offences Court.
Adekoya made the revelation on Monday while testifying as the first prosecution witness in the trial of Baba Ijesha.
In a copy of a disclaimer made available to the News Agency of Nigeria on Saturday in Lagos, James said he never briefed Ogunlana to be his legal representative.
Baba Ijesha has been in detention for alleged sexual molestation of a minor.
According to it, this is based on criminal charges he has to answer to.
It would be recalled that when the police announced that Baba Ijesha was in their custody for allegedly sexually abusing a minor, Yomi Fabiyi was one of those who demanded to see the CCTV footage of the incident which the police said they had custody of.
Recall that The Eagle Online earlier reported that Baba Ijesha was recently arrested by the Lagos State Police Command for allegedly molesting a minor.
