He however, noted that State investigation revealed that the Agila people hired herdsmen mercenaries to execute the killings and destructions in the area.
It was learnt that youths of the two communities went on rampage and barricaded the Abakaliki-Enugu Expressway, leading to a serious traffic gridlock.
There had been reports that Fulani herdsmen carried out the attack in the early hours of Monday.
