The national leadership of the Nigeria Union of Journalists has reacted to the Tuesday attack on some journalists at the Ebonyi State House of Assembly.

The notice of reversal was contained in a statement by the Secretary of the Kwara State Council of the NUJ, Omotayo Ayanda.
Bulama Talba, Chairman of NUJ in a statement, said the council was concerned over the unabated attacks by the insurgents against civilians in Maiduguri, Nganzai, Kaga, Bama and Kukawa Local Government Areas of the state.
This was inspite of the admonition of the National President of the union, Chris Isiguzo, calling for a halt to the exercise and a return to due process.
The Chairman of the union, Dr Qasim Akinreti, said in Lagos, that the union sympathised with the National Youths Service Corps and family of the corps member, Owolabi, who was shot on Monday while on duty.
Adegoke said this in Port Harcourt on Monday when he paid a courtesy visit to Rivers Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists.
