Jamoh stated this while receiving in audience the Deputy Head of International Maritime Security Operations Team, IMSOT, Jim Hamilton who led a team on a working visit to assess the level of compliance of some Ports facilities in the country with the ISPS Code.

Dr. Jamoh who disclosed this during a media interactive session in Lagos, noted that despite the challenges associated with the COVID-19 pandemic, the Agency ensured improved Port and Flag State Administration in accordance with the safety requirements of the Merchant Shipping Act 2007.

The MoU which provides a framework for NIMASA and the Korean Coast Guard is to develop, Coordinate and Monitor the implementation of Maritime Security and Safety between both organisations.
Dr. Jamoh said while inaugurating the forum at the NIMASA headquarters in Lagos that communication between management and staff was key in efforts to move the maritime industry forward.
