The Chairman of the NMA in the state, Dr. Mannir Bature, made the announcement in Gusau on Monday while briefing newsmen, saying the congress of the association resorted to the strike option.

Abang, who made the appeal at a press briefing on Wednesday in Calabar on the issue of the kidnap of a second medical doctor, Godwin Udo, announced that doctors in the state have immediately commenced an indefinite strike pending the unconditional release of their colleague.
