Edward Osagie, Assistant Director, Public Relations ,NIMASA, made this known in a statement on Monday in Lagos.
Dr. Bashir Jamoh, Director General, NIMASA, made this known at a media briefing on the agency’s achievements in 2021.
The meeting, which held in Abuja, had as top agenda the incident, which took place in international waters 25 to 30 nautical miles south of the Nigerian territorial boundaries.
The Director-General of NIMASA, Bashir Jamoh, made the appeal at NIMASA’s special day at the ongoing 2021 Lagos International Trade Fair.
Under the new procedures, all Ship Captains are to submit the Security-Related Pre-Arrival Information forms to the Agency not later than 48 hours before the ship’s arrival at any Nigerian port.
Jamoh made the reinstatement move at the third seminar of the Atlantic Center in Lisbon, Portugal on Tuesday.
Jamoh stated this on Monday in Benin City when he led a team from the Agency on a courtesy visit to Governor Godwin Obaseki of Edo State in the government house. The Edo State Governor said the Benin River Port project is critical and strategic to Nigeria’s economy, noting that the State Government is willing to partner with the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency, (NIMASA) to bring the project to reality.

Dr. Bashir Jamoh, Director-General, NIMASA, while presenting the items, said the donation was part of the agency’s Corporate Social Responsibility.

Sanwo-Olu gave the assurance while receiving the Director-General of NIMASA, Dr. Bashir Jamoh, and other top officials of the federal agency, who paid a courtesy visit to him at the Lagos House, Alausa, Ikeja on Tuesday.
According to available information, several contractors were paid for unexecuted jobs in the proposed institution.
The president, in a congratulatory message issued by his spokesman, Femi Adesina, in Abuja on Wednesday, joined family and friends to celebrate ”the milestone, already lined with lofty achievements, particularly in nation building.”

Jamoh stated this in Lagos while receiving members of the National Fleet Implementation Committee, who paid him a courtesy visit at the Agency’s headquarters.
Jamoh stated this on Wednesday while delivering a lecture on Maritime Security and National Development in Nigeria at the National Defence College, Abuja.
This was disclosed in a statement on Maritime Security Collaboration, which was released on Friday by the Nigerian Government and Industry Joint Working Group.
