The President, Nigerian Guild of Editors, Funke Egbemode, stated this in Osogbo when she led the NGE Standing Committee members on an inspection of state projects across some parts of the state

The acting president of the NGE emerged in the wee hours of Saturday at the second quarterly meeting of the association’s Standing Committee held in Abuja
In a release signed by its General-Secretary, Victoria Ibanga, the Guild described the appointments as a plus to the media industry and Nigeria as a whole, considering the various contributions the press has made to national development

He said: “We need to promote national identity, national value, socio-political norms and values and give right to appropriate issues in the country
The opening ceremony of the conference, with the theme: Nigeria: The change we need and the role of the Editor, will take place on August 27, 2015 at the Banquet Hall of the Government House, Yenagoa
