The Nigeria Basketball Federation has unequivocally stated that the planned 2019 Annual General Meeting of the Federation slated for April 13 in Abuja will go on as planned.

The AGM, which will have in attendance two representatives from the 36 states basketball associations and the Federal Capital Territory, representatives of Referees, Coaches, Technical Commissioners and the Para Military, will hold at the National Institute of Sports located inside the Abuja National Stadium.

The President of the Nigeria Basketball Federation, Musa Kida, has stated that attention will go to the grassroots and various domestic leagues being organised by the federation after the 2018 World Cup heroics of the D’ Tigress and Nigeria’s World Cup qualification for China 2019 with three games to spare.

The leadership of the Nigeria Basketball Federation is in deep shock over the sudden demise of Timeyin Amatossero-Keke, who collapsed and died last week Monday night at the Bluefield State College basketball court in the United States of America.
