According to Q4 unemployment report released by the National Bureau of Statistics on Monday, no fewer than 23.18 million Nigerians either did nothing or worked for less than 20 hours a week, making them unemployed during the fourth quarter 2020

According to data from the country’s National Bureau of Statistics, GDP increased by 0.11% in the period October-December, supported primarily by growth in agriculture and telecommunications, which expanded by 3.4% and 17.6% respectively.

The data showed that the sector grew substantially in the quarter propelled by data subscriptions, which rose by 23 per cent year on year to stand at 151,063,413 million subscribers at the end of September 2020.

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) had, in its Gross Domestic Product (GDP) report for Q3’ 2020, said that the country recorded GDP growth of -3.62 per cent in the quarter.
