The 7th Nasarawa State House of Assembly has elected Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi as Speaker.
Abdullahi, who made this known during plenary in Lafia, said the visits which started on Thursday were meant to assess the 2021 budget performance.
Abdullahi, in a statement by his press secretary, Mr Jibrin Gwamna, on Tuesday in Lafia, said Muslims and people of other faiths should continue to pray for the peace, progress and development of Nigeria.
The Speaker of the House, Alhaji Ibrahim Abdullahi, made this known on Saturday while addressing journalists in Lafia over the August 7 judgment of the High Court in Akwanga that nullified the indictment of the former SSG by the House.

After a prolonged debate over a letter sent to the assembly by the governor, explaining his inability to sign the bill into law, the lawmakers invoked the powers conferred on them by the constitution to override the decision of the governor to ensure passage of the bill into law
The assembly took the decision after deliberating on a letter from the Nasarawa State Broadcasting Service, demanding N10 million monthly as against N500,000 for live coverage of the assembly’s sitting
