Data from FMDQ Exchange, a platform that oversees the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market, revealed the Naira lost N63.37.

This represents a 5.96 percent loss when compared to the previous trading date on April 26, when it exchanged at N1,339.23 to a dollar.

However, the naira weakened against the dollar at the interbank market, losing N2.49 to close at N307.26 against N305.27 recorded on Tuesday

An operator, who preferred anonymity, told NAN that many customers had discrepancies with the information on their international passports and the Biometric Verification Number

The naira lost N1 to the dollar on Wednesday afternoon as it traded N225 to the dollar as against N224 on Tuesday.
Meanwhile the official interbank rate maintained its value at N197 to the dollar
