In a press statement issued on Monday in Lagos, Adepoju said: “It has become very necessary to postpone the tournament which was earlier scheduled for July 25 to 28th to September 5th through 8th, to allow our Muslim brothers in the participating teams observe the month of Ramadan which kicks-off 7th July and ends August 6th

The Headmaster, as Adepoju is fondly called, told The Eagles Online that it is wrong to compel the big forward to play for the Super Eagles when he has requested he should be left alone until he feels otherwise
