The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the returnees arrived aboard a chartered Libyan Airlines aircraft with registration number 5A-LAR, which landed at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Lagos at 10pm.

Rabiu Yadudu, the Director of Operations, FAAN, made the disclosure while speaking with newsmen on the sidelines of the Quarterly Breakfast Meeting of the Aviation Roundtable in Lagos.

Like the initial group, which returned on March 7 after being stranded in Libya, while enroute Europe, the returnees were brought back by the International Organisation for Migration and the Nigerian Embassy in Libya

It said the facility is one of many projects embarked by the Federal Government to facilitate passengers’ facilitation at the airports to keep pace with the growing traffic, which has been on the increase since the commencement of the remodeling project, and the immense growth of the country as the fastest growing economy in Africa

Nigeria has the capacity to become the hub of Aviation activities in the West African sub region, given the number of international operators currently using its airspace and the high number of prospective ones
