The Department of Petroleum Resources in Ogun has issued a six months’ notice to gas plant owners to evacuate all Liquified Petroleum Gas plants domiciled in filling stations or face sanctions.
The DPR said this had become necessary as some filling stations it sanctioned for committing one offence or the other had refused to comply with its rules.
The Operations Controller of DPR, Abeokuta Field Office, Muinat Bello-Zagi, made this known on Monday at a stakeholders meeting with members of LPG Skid Owners Association, Ogun chapter in Abeokuta.
Muinat Bello-Zagi, the Abeokuta Operations Controller of DPR, told journalists in Sango Ota that the marketers were caught through the efforts of members of the public.
She gave the warning on Tuesday when she led a team to visit some filling stations in Abeokuta metropolis.
