A tanker conveying Liquefied Petroleum Products exploded in motion in front of the OPIC Plaza on Thursday night, injuring 13 people and razing 25 vehicles.
The explosion was said to have been caused by unconfirmed leakage while the vehicle was in motion. The resulting fire, aided by the wind, affected the premises of the Ogun State Property Investment Company (OPIC) Plaza, while serious damage is s, aid to have been done to the Sheraton Hotel.
Operatives of the Rapid Response Squad, a unit of the Lagos State Police Command, on Wednesday arrested a fake soldier and a robber.
The seven suspects along with six of their eight beggars were arrested midday on Monday at Mobolaji Bank Anthony Way after almost a week of monitoring by the Decoy Team of the unit.
The Commissioner of Police in Lagos, Edgal Imohimi, who disclosed the arrest on Wednesday during weekly press briefing, said that six suspects were arrested while five minors were rescued.
