AFRIMA recalls that the 35-year-old AKA was killed in a cold-blooded shooting February 10, 2023, at a nightclub in Durban, South Africa and the awards body is demanding that everyone linked to his gruesome murder must be expeditiously brought to justice.
Dada, according to a press statement, gave the assurance as the next award of the body draw closer, with the call for submission of entries from artistes.
This decision was reached during the two-hour Conference/Meeting of the International Congress of AFRIMA held via Zoom on August 11, 2020 at 1600 hour (GMT), with the theme: “Post COVID-19 Developmental Gaps and Challenges in the African Music and Entertainment Industries: African Regions and Countries Perspective.”
According to a statement on Monday by PRM Africa, the Lead Organiser, the virtual conference is designed as a pan-African event, tagged: “Close the Gap Conference,” with the theme: “Post-COVID-19: For African Tourism to Revive, Reboot & Refocus.”
