Facebook chief executive, Mark Zuckerberg, has said he intends to remain head of the social media giant he founded in spite of calls for changes in management, local media reported on Wednesday.

Cambridge Analytica is a consultancy suspected of improperly using the data of as many as 87 million people.
This number is up from a previous news media estimate of more than 50 million.
Zuckerberg said: “I think we will dig through this hole, but it will take a few years.
The commission is looking into reports that Facebook failed to honour promises to comply with existing privacy protections, including a data privacy deal between the EU and the U.S. agreed in 2016.
The founder of the platform, Mark Zuckerberg, said in a statement that the step was also to ensure that people’s trust was gained.
