Pacquiao will take on Bradley for a third time on April 9 after losing to his biggest rival Floyd Mayweather in boxing’s richest fight in history last May

It was thought that Pacquiao would retire after his fight with WBO welterweight champion Tim Bradley (33-1-1, 13 KOs) on April 9 of this year, because Pacquiao has a good chance of being elected into a senate seat in the Philippines
Pacquiao, who is facing Timothy Bradley in a trilogy on April 9, has stated on several post-Mayweather fight interviews that he failed to give the fans the fight they have been expecting when he faced Mayweather last May at the MGM Grand Garden Arena
“We’re in no rush. Manny and I have sat down and we’ve discussed what we think is the best option for Manny. Before I head back on the 9th [of January] I will sit down with [Top Rank CEO] Bob [Arum],” Koncz said in Boxing Scene
Pacquiao said Wurtzbach displayed composure and humility, especially when she tried to reach out to first runner-up Miss Colombia who was mistakenly hailed as the winner of the pageant
Ricardo Marcellana, project contractor, said a total of 300 housing units will be built in the four-hectare land, which Pacquiao bought for the project a couple of years back
“He’s absolutely positive we’ll have an answer by Friday,” the Top Rank Inc. CEO said
“I’m in different cities in different countries and I hear people talking about Mayweather vs. Pacquiao 2. I guess people forgot about those different ESPN commercials. ‘He really wants to fight? He’s scared of me. He don’t really want to fight.’ They forgot about those ESPN commercials,” said Mayweather
Although Mayweather has already hung up his gloves, with a 49-0 unbeaten record that includes a win over Pacquiao in Las Vegas in May, this hasn’t stopped his Filipino rival of dreaming of a rematch of the most lucrative bout in boxing history
What makes the claim so surprising is that Mayweather has, at least up to this point, been steadfast in the fact that he is retired and has on a number of occasions stated that a rematch will not happen between the two top welterweights of the current era
“I don’t know yet who’s my opponent next but we’re still negotiating right now about the rematch with Floyd Mayweather so hoping for that,” the 36-year-old announced via his official Facebook page
But if he doesn’t, then it’s going to be interesting to see if he chooses to hang up his gloves after one more fight
Pacquiao underwent surgery to repair a torn rotator cuff after the fight and had been expected to retire with little left to prove after achieving his long-stated goal of getting in the ring with Mayweather
“Manny Pacquiao is a personal friend and I have invited him to come,” Wu told reporters ahead of the tournament’s first bouts.
“He’s never been to the World Championships and I said ‘come and have a look
Pacquiao has been a Congressman for the last eight years, but now wants to become part of the Philippine Senate and will be looking for one of the 24 seats in the upper chamber
