Justice Yusuf Halilu of an FCT High Court on Monday ordered the police to provide names and witness statements to the defence counsel in the trial of Maryam Sanda and three others, charged with the alleged killing of , Bilyaminu, a nephew of former PDP Chairman, Alhaji Bello uhammad.
Muhammed, who was testifying in the culpable murder case against Maryam Sanda, accused of allegedly killing Bilyaminu, said: “I saw wounds on his lap and neck”.
Maryam, the first defendant, was alleged to have killed her husband on November 19, 2017 through multiple stabbing, and was arraigned at the court by the Nigeria Police with three other persons.
Maryam and three others – Maimuna Aliyu, her mother; Aliyu Sanda, her brother, and Sadiya Aminu, her housemaid, are standing trial before an FCT High Court on a two- count of culpable homicide and conspiracy.
Aliyu, being prosecuted by ICPC for alleged N57 million on land deal since 2017, claimed to have paid the amount to Aso Savings and Loan Plc for three plots of land at Jahi District, Abuja but Rimi denied it.
Aliyu, mother of Maryam Sanda, who allegedly stabbed her husband, Bilyaminu Halilu, to death on November 19, was accused of misappropriating N57 million as the Executive Director of Aso Savings and Loans Plc by the ICPC.
