Sylva made the disclosure while answering questions from newsmen at the rollout of the National Gas Expansion Programme in Abuja on Tuesday.

The Federal Government through a range of interventions and policy implementation will significantly improve domestic and industrial utilisation of Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Nigeria, according to Vice President Yemi Osinbajo (SAN).

Asuquo Antai, the Operations Controller, DPR, Warri Zonal Office, made the call on Friday at the 2018 DPR/LPG Marketers Stakeholders Forum in Warri, Delta, with the theme: “Stakeholders Relationship Building and Management: Promoting a Safe and Sustainable Utilisation of LPG”.
The DPR said this had become necessary as some filling stations it sanctioned for committing one offence or the other had refused to comply with its rules.
The National Bureau of Statistics said 165.71 million litres of Liquefied Petroleum Gas was imported into the country in the second quarter.
