Following a report in a national daily newspaper, the Ministry of Power, Works and Housing Wednesday denied that the Federal Government has stopped the payment of shortfalls to Electricity Generation Companies, describing the report as both false and unfounded.
The Federal Government says it is committed to offering Nigerians with various energy options to make power supply available and affordable.
The TCN Managing Director, Mohammed Usman-Gur, said this at a workshop to review the company’s SCADA-EMS and Telecoms feasibility study report in Abuja on Tuesday
“The national grid produces about 6,600 mega-watts of electricity from the 750,33KV trading points, but less than 4,600 mega-watts get distributed to the consumers,” Edozien said on Monday in Jos, Plateau State.
