The investment of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode of Lagos State in grassroots sports development has continued to yield positive results with the performance of Team Lagos at the ongoing 4th Edition of the National Youth Games (U-15) holding at the University of Ilorin, Kwara State.
No fewer than 200 Team Lagos athletes from 25 sports will begin Open Camp from August 27 to 31, after which they go into a Closed Camp from September 2 to 6, 2018.
Speaking at the ongoing annual Ministerial Press Briefing to mark the third anniversary of Governor Akinwunmi Ambode’s administration held at Bagauda Kaltho Press Centre in Alausa, the Chairman of Lagos State Sports Commission, Kweku Adedayo Tandoh, said it was gratifying to report that after series of back and forth, action would commence next week on paperwork for the formal handover of the facility to the State Government
