Speaking during a courtesy call on him by the National Vice-President of Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees, Comrade Patrick Igwe at Government House, Ilorin, the governor said “relationship between arms of government is purely guided by the constitution and the laws of the state”.

Governor Ahmed, who spoke through a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Communications, Dr. Muyideen Akorede, said Kwara State has recorded visible progress since 2003 as his administration and that of former Governor Bukola Saraki have elevated the State and its people despite spending the bulk of federal allocations on salaries and pensions.

Speaking during a Sallah homage paid on him by traditional rulers from Kwara North Senatorial District at the Government House, Ilorin on Tuesday, Ahmed said the Ilorin-Old Jebba Road is currently undergoing rehabilitation, while Tsaragi-Shonga Road is on the front burner.

Speaking during the yearly Sallah homage by the Chairman, Kwara StateTraditional Council and the Emir of Ilorin, HRH Alhaji Ibrahim Sulu Gambari, at Government House, Ilorin, the governor said the agricultural programme of the federal government is a focal point for diversification of the Nigerian economy.

In separate interviews with newsmen during the 2nd Quarter General Assembly and inauguration of the North Central and Kwara State executive officers, held at the Cherubim and Seraphim Church Movement Headquarter, Ilorin on Thursday, they described unity as essential ingredient for development and sustenance of the organisation.
