The PDP National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, in a statement on Tuesday said the lives of its members and supporters are increasingly at risk as the government is becoming more intolerant of opposition, particularly having realized that its chances of getting re-elected in 2019 has dimmed as the people have rejected it due to its abysmal performance in “nearly three years of misrule”.

The party described the figures and the purported proliferation of fuel stations, used as alibi for the claimed sudden jump in subsidy pay-out, as fictitious and cleverly fabricated to retire the already exposed stealing of trillions of naira by Presidency cabal and APC interests in secret oil deals.

The party said the action of the House of Representatives in setting up an adhoc committee to investigate the abduction underscores the legislators’ consensus for a non-aligned inquest, particularly against the backdrop of speculations of conspiracy theory, conflicting reports and disagreement among government officials and agencies on the matter.
