The judge convicted Amadi and sent him to 18 months imprisonment, to run concurrently, after finding him guilty of criminal charge made against him by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN), through the office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF).

In handing down his ruling, the judge held that the prosecution has raised issues that require the embattled ex-staff to proffer answers. Justice Allagoa consequently ordered Amadi to open his defence.
In his application before the court, Amadi is contending that the prosecution has not been able to make any prima facie case against him and as such has no business being in court.
The adjournment, came after Amadi’s lawyer, S. J. Ogogoyibo, informed the court that the defendant (Amadi) is in talks with the Federal Government on the possibility of settling the matter out-of-court
Justice Mohammed Liman of the Federal High Court in Lagos will on March 4 resume hearing in the alleged N2.9 billion fraud case against a former staffer of Eunisell, Kenneth Amadi.
Amadi was again absent in court on Wednesday after missing out on two previous court’s proceedings.
The case was to have begun on January 8, 2020, but was shifted because courts were on break.
The coaches and players had separately sued the club and the state government over their failure to settle their entitlements since 2015.
Joined in the suit before Justice Kenneth Amadi at the Jos Section of the National Industrial Court is the Nasarawa State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice.
The coaches, who were laid off in 2015, are alleging that the Nasarawa State Government owed them a total of N46.35 million, before they were sacked.
