A Leader of the group, Alhaji Kelani Mohammed, said at a news conference in Kaduna that the crisis rocking the party in many states require the President’s personal intervention.
He stated this on Monday in Abuja while speaking with newsmen after a closed-door meeting with the members of APC’s National Working Committee.
The faction made this known on Wednesday in a statement signed by its chairman, Olayemi Olabanji and made available to the News Agency of Nigeria in Ilorin.

The members of the nPDP had issued a quit threat from the APC if they were unable to meet Buhari within seven days
The members of the nPDP in a statement by its National Chairman, Kawu Baraje, and National Secretary, Prince Olagunsoye Oyinlola, had earlier in the week written to the National Chairman of the APC, Chief John Odigie-Oyegun, demanding for a meeting with Buhari within seven days
The Governor gave this indication at the submission of the report of the committee on creation of LCDAs
The resignation was also to avoid any insinuation or plot to use the appointment to blackmail or embarrass him in the future
A statement by the National Publicity Secretary of the nPDP, Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, gave the names of other members of the committee as Hon. Nasir Isa Abubakar, the National Organising Secretary, who will serve as the Secretary of the Committee; Engr. Abubakar G. Umar, the National Treasurer; Hon. Binta Masi Garba, the Women Leader; Timi Frank, the Youth Leader; and Chief Eze Chukwuemeka Eze, the National Public Secretary

Eze said in the statement: “The Alhaji Abubakar Kawu Baraje-led Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) is amused by the news of the setting up of a Disciplinary Committee by the faction of PDP led by Alhaji Bamanga Tuku
Adefope-Okojie said the applicants had averred in their affidavit that the cause of action was the Special National Convention of the PDP held on August 30 in Abuja
According to the statement, the splinter PDP resolved at the end of the meeting that they would not be intimidated for any reason, even if it means death, as they are fighting a just cause of “reclaiming, recovering and establishing our party based on the vision of its founding fathers as the party is currently usurped by some members who do not know how it was formed”
In a letter to the group on Monday, the 22 senators congratulated the faction that broke away from the party on Saturday during the controversial Special National Convention of the PDP in Abuja
“We also appreciate the efforts of leaders of the party, particularly President Goodluck Jonathan and former President Olusegun Obasanjo who, we note, have scheduled a meeting of the party elders for this week. We respect the elders and will be guided by them even as we stress that we will not abandon the ideals of justice and fairness that gave birth to the new party leadership under Alhaji Baraje
While we have done everything humanly possible to bring to the attention of critical stakeholders within the party the dangers inherent in the course being charted by that leadership, it has become very clear that the desperate permutations towards 2015 general elections have blinded certain people from the consequences of their actions
